The report points out that global supply chain fragmentation forces Hong Kong to upgrade from a "middleman" role to a "supply chain manager"; On a technical level, innovative technologies such as intelligent logistics, big data supply chain, and automated warehousing are reshaping the ecosystem of the trade industry chain.
The report proposes multiple recommendations based on the current global economic and trade landscape changes and the wave of technological revolution, including supporting the development of local cloud service platforms; Cultivate an aviation supply chain system and build a cross-border e-commerce logistics innovation hub in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area; Utilize blockchain technology to improve the efficiency of industrial chain finance.
At the press conference, the President of the Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export, Bei Junqi, stated that Hong Kong needs to accelerate the construction of a new driving force for the "airport economy", develop a high time efficient and high value-added air cargo hub, and simultaneously promote the leap from cargo transshipment to a "trade service center", integrate professional service advantages such as finance, law, and insurance, and provide full cycle trade support.
